They say, "write what you know". Well, these days, most of my teaching and research focuses on the ever-fascinating - and ever-frustrating - world of media and politics. So that's what I'm here to write about. The good, the bad, and the ugly of the relationships between journalists, politicians, and the public in print, broadcast, and online. Some of the posts will be informative, with an eye to sharing a research-based perspective on news stories, media practices, politicians' communication strategies, and the like. Some of the posts will be more personal, with reflections on how issues and events relate to myself, my students, and/or the world around us. All will be the work of me, myself, and I, with the limited capacities that entails.
